You make me smile

IMG_9360

I made this card for WOW! to take with them to show on trade shows like CHA. Lucky card, get to go to all the fun places without me. I hope it’ll have a grand time. Anyways, my daughter really loved this card, she just kept looking at it and it made me happy because I think it's pretty too :) I made it using texture paste that I colored and embossed with glitter embossing powder.

Lots of texture and I am really happy with this little card.

I’ll show some more of what I made for the trade shows another day. See you then. Thanks for stopping by!

Just having fun!

I got a couple of new Hero Arts stamp sets in the mailbox and I wanted to play. I made two cards just for fun. The first one I tried out embossing on texture paste. Lovely effect! I was (as usual) impatient and did not let the paste dry before zapping it with my heat gun. The paste bubbeled but it looks really cool. Happy coincident :)

I tried to take a picture of the puffy bubbeled paste but it was hard. It looks nice though.

For my other vcard I used a stamp roller that I had forever on my desk but never remembers to use. I embellished with wood veneer and glitter tape. Kind of cute.

That’s it for today. Thanks for the visit.

Fill up life with happy

IMG_6664

New year, new beginnings. I started this one by giving my blog a small makeover and then cleaning up in my scraproom and under all the piles of junk and glitter I found some inspiration. Apparently it helps to have a desk to work on and some space to move around the chair. I got the idea of making a mason jar with text on it and make it like a shaker card filled with pretty stuff. I made cards making a pretty watercolor background and made one for the jar as well, I love how it turned out.. It looks kind of dreamy.

IMG_6666

I did make a lid for the jar, embossing it and all but then I got the idea of letting some pf the happy in the jar burst out instead. I used some metallic thread and wood veneer for that. And I got to use some of my stickles.

IMG_6667

The background turned out really pretty too, it’s texture paste mixed with some distress ink. The mask I cut out with my Cameo. I love making my own masks! I use some of the cardstock in odd colors I’ve got. You can use tha mask a couple of times depending on how much of a mess you make.

The picture is of my daughter Idun and her friend Freja, we had a photo session this fall and Frejas mother Jessica took this picture. The girls had a lot of fun :) I think it was the perfect picture for this LO.

The world is full of magic things...

IMG_8705

When I use my Cameo to cut something out I often cut a bit more then I need. When I cut from white cardstock I usually fill the entire 12x12 surface with things that might come in handy. It is easy to color it to fit in with everything when needed. I had this text laying in my stash and wanted to use it for this weeks Hobbyworld post. I made my background with mist, texture paste and other color products and finished with a layer with Martha Stewart Gesso diluted with water to soften all the colors. I like the effect on this soft Prima paper.

It all shimmers in gold and pink. I used some Prima Swirls, Enamel Dots and stamps to embellish and also some cut out leaves from my stash.

Embossed vellum

Here are my inspiration for En liten butik today. In October the theme for sundays are stamping and I wanted to show how nice it looks to stamp on vellum. I made this card using masks from prima and some really great products from Tattered Angels.

I like this stamp from Hero Arts, it has lots of different semtiments that will fit in the banner. I used this since I live in the west of Sweden and I thought that it might come in handy :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Texture paste and Crafters Workshop

IMG_8465

Today I’ve made a card for En liten butik using a cool mask and some texture paste. It looks so cool!

IMG_8468

I used some mist and a couple of sequins as embellishment. The Hero Arts stamp is embossed with black embossing powder and it really pops on the white card. I really like the effect of the texture paste, I just want to touch it!

I have some great news also! I get to stay on En liten butiks DT as a permanent member. I’m really really happy about this. I love the girls on the team, they are really creative and inspiring and the owner Lotta is great! Also, they have lots of super nice things in the shop and I get to play with some of them :) So with these news I wish you a nice weekend and come back tomorrow for my Hobbyworld post for this week. We will present the last part of our fall challenge and it’s a fun one! (also, this week I’ll just go ahead and post it on the correct day right away and not the day before like I accidently did last week...).
