25’th and Pine

IMG_8564

I’ve made a matchig set of three christmas cards using the lovely Basic Grey collection 25’th and Pine. I love the old fashioned style and colors. This was one of the challenges from Karlstad that I didn’t have time to make. Luckely enough for me there are still time since the CC at Svensk Scrapbooking have all the same challenges. And even better I got these lovely papers from Hobbyworld in my DT-kit and it’s quite easy making a kit with all papers from the same series. I’ve used the green leaves with the red berrys to tie the cards together and also the twine is the same on all three cards.

I cut out one of the tags from a patterned paper and used a chubby eyelet to make it complete, the ornament is from one of the sticker sheets.

All these decorations comes from a pack full of lovely die cuts.

The last card I’ve embellished with stickers and one of the diecuts. I rounded two of the corners with the WRMK corner chomper.

For all of the details on supplies please check the Hobbyworld blog.

Early christmas

Is it too soon to start making christmas cards? I got this cute stamp in my kit from En liten butik and needed to relax so I spent an evenling looking at a movie about Salmon fishing in Yemen (kind of cute movie) and coloring this stamp. It was super relaxing, to me coloring is like meditation. It just clears all the clutter from my brain and I feel like a new person after. Well as long as I don’t mess up too bad ;)

I loved the little chubby bird and spent some time looking for a large enough spellbinders die that wouldn’t crop out the bird or the silly dog.

This card got me in the mood to make more christmas cards. I got some awesome christmas products in my Hobbyworld kit and hopefully you’ll get to see it tomorrow here in the blog. I have Aspen Frost from Basic Grey that I really think looks awesome. And one more series that I just can’t remember the name of. but it looks amazing and now that I made that first card for the season I bet I’ll be popping out christmas cards every now and then and hopefully I’ll even send some this year ;)

Have a nice weekend! Pop back here tomorrow to se whatever I came up with for Hobbyworld. It might be a christmas card or it might be something entirely different. Even I don’t know since I haven’t really started anything yet.

New beginnings

It feels like a very long time since I stepped in to CiLi in Papers shop the very first time. At the time it was in the back of Ciccis nail salon and I had just been picked to be in my very first DT. I’ve had some great times at CiLi and this weekend they moved (again) to a bigger space. I got to check it out this sunday when Cicci opened up the shop for me and it looks great! I guess it really was some time since everything fitted in the back of a nail salon because it is huge now! I’m really happy for Cicci and wish her all the best in her new location. Of course I did some shopping too, I always find something I “need” ;)

Of course I still follow the blog and this month they started to have monthly challenges. This month was of course about new beginnings and there was a really great sketch too. Since I’ve just started to study (again) I was really excited to make something for the challenge. I used some of the stuff I got at CiLi to make my LO and this is what it looks like.

The title is “It’s never too late to change your mind (again)" and the journaling about changing directions completley when you are as old as me ;) I’m going from psychology to computer science so it’s a big leap but it’s fun and very challenging.

IMG_8478

I am really happy to see how it turned out, it looks both a bit hi-tech and then some pink to make it a bit softer. I really like pink! :)

I loved this challenge and you can find all the details in the blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Ready for fall

IMG_8460

It’s time for the last part of out fall challange at Hobbyworld and now it’s time for all the cardmakers to show their talent. I made a kind of crazy card with some leaf dies from Spellbinders. It turned out kind of straggly, I used the Big Shot quite a bit to make it.

IMG_8462

I’ve done my stamping on new Labels Thirty-Three, I’ve fallen in love with it. It such a great shape to place your sentiment on or maby a title on a LO.

Good luck with the challenge. I hope you have as much fun as I had making this card!

Today I’ve made a card for En liten butik using a cool mask and some texture paste. It looks so cool!

IMG_8468

I used some mist and a couple of sequins as embellishment. The Hero Arts stamp is embossed with black embossing powder and it really pops on the white card. I really like the effect of the texture paste, I just want to touch it!

I have some great news also! I get to stay on En liten butiks DT as a permanent member. I’m really really happy about this. I love the girls on the team, they are really creative and inspiring and the owner Lotta is great! Also, they have lots of super nice things in the shop and I get to play with some of them :) So with these news I wish you a nice weekend and come back tomorrow for my Hobbyworld post for this week. We will present the last part of our fall challenge and it’s a fun one! (also, this week I’ll just go ahead and post it on the correct day right away and not the day before like I accidently did last week...).

Fall kit in three pieces

Tis week it’s time for part two in Hobbyworlds awesome fall challenge! Now there is an entire week for you to create a fall inspired kit in three parts for our challenge. There are some great Spellbinders to win! The good thing about making matching kits is that after making the first piece the rest is easy since you allready have everything out. The bad thing is that it makes quite a mess on the scrap table. At least on mine ;)

IMG_8457

I made a card, a tag and altered a notepad that happened to be the same color as the papers I used.

IMG_8445

For all creations I’ve used Spellbinders embossing folders to emboss cardstock covered in metal tape I had at home. I used a really cool 3D-embossingfolder for the card, it turned out really detailed and cool! I mixed up some MS Craft Paint in gold with some black pearlmaker (it was just the first thing I happened to grab, I guess it would be even better with acrylic paint) and smeared it all over the embossed surface with my fingers. I dabbed off the excess and after drying I also sanded it a bit.

IMG_8449

I made the bookmark with another of the new embossing folders from Spellbinders.

IMG_8451

The last part of the kit is this notebook, it was laying around and happened to be the same color as the papers I used. I cut out an embossed part with one of the new label shapes from Spellbinders. This one will be great for texts on cards also, the shape is so pretty!

I hope you got a bit inspired to create something for our challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing what you created!

This weeks creation for En liten butik is a card with a cool Kenny K stamp. I can’t belive I forgotten how relaxing it is to color stamps. I started out with the card from MME, Bloom Where You are Planted, I tried to keep the color scheme and then I added the great chalkboard-style paper from EP as a background. It really made everything else pop.

A close up on my coloring. I’d love to add some more Copics to my collection but it’ll have to wait :)

Later today I’ll post my inspiration for Hobbyworlds big and awesome fall challenge, part 2. You will nott want to miss this, there are spellbinders to win each week and then in the end one lucky winner have the chance to winn the Grand Calibur. Yey!
