Chibitronics and Sweet Stamp Shop collaboration

Maya isaksson chibitronics sweet stamp shop

First of all I want to welcome you to my "new" blog. It's really just the same blog on a new adress, looks a tad bit different but hopefully you will feel like home here. Just update your bookmarks or feeds and sit back and enjoy!

Today I have made a sweet card for a collaboration between Sweet Stamp Shop and Chibitronics. It's the last day of a full week of inspiration in the blogs so make sure to hop on over to look at all of the inspiration and of course there are prizes too! Yay!

I used this cute pup and made his had light up when pulling the tab, it's nothing complicated but I wanted to keep it pretty clean and simple. I masked the sentiment to match my motif. I had a lot of fun making it. Check out the full post on the Chibitronic blog for all the details.

Just breathe

I went to a crop and had a great day, meeting a lot of my crafty friends and had a lot of fun. I even won a challenge so that was super fun! I also had some time to shop so I got some new stamps to play with. I got two of Gummiapans drink stamps because I really love the style of them. Gummiapan is a Swedish company who makes rubber stamps and apparently dies too, I got a nice scribbled circle die too, it's super cool.

Anyways, I made this card using one of the stamps with my Spectrum Sparkle pens using some water on a brush to pull the color out like with regular watercolor in marker form.

Paper pieced flower

Design_in_papers_kaiserkraft_maya_isaksson

Here's todays creation for Design in Papers, a flower that I paper pieced out of some patterned papers from a 6x6 pad by Dear Lizzy. I used a new stamp set by Kaisercraft that I think is super pretty. They have really made some lovely sets lately, too bad they aren't photopolymer stamps. They are a bit soft for my taste but with the MISTI it's ok to get good impressions anyways.

I used Spectrum Noir markers to shade and then I added Sparkle pens for shimmer. I think I'm addicted to Sparkle pens <3

I'll be back a bit later today with a blog hop with the new and old WOW DT. Come back in a few hours for a chance to win great prices!

You are a legend

I made this card using the very cute Lovable Legend stamps by Lawn Fawn for my Design in Papers post this week. I have a weakness for cute monsters so I just had to have this set. I colored it all using distress inks and ink blending tool and added some Spectrum Sparkle pens to the Kraken to make him shimmer a bit.

I think the colors turned out pretty cute, I really can't remember what I used unfortunately. Looks like Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio maybe?

Here is some of the sparkle, maybe I should have added some glossy accents on top of him too?

I hope you liked him :)

March challenge at Spectrum Noir

Spectrum noir march challenge maya watermarked

A brand new month (well, almost at least, I'm running a bit behind as usual) means a new challenge at Spectrum Noir. This months theme is glitter and I love glitter. I diecut some butterflies out of glitter paper and then used my Ebrush to add some color to the wings. Then I inlayed them in a pretty patterned paper and embossed a greeting on top.

Pawesome!

Maya isaksson design in papers pawsome

It's Wednesday and on Wednesdays I'm up at the Design in Papers blog. Today I made this really clean and simple card trying some no-line coloring on that cute dog. I used Spectrum Noir Blendable pencils and Lawn Fawn stamps. I think it would be perfect for a guy or a gal not loving cutesy stuff. That dog is super cute, as is all the other dogs in the set. I actually sort of enjoyed this attempt of no line coloring. I usually get terrified by thinking of it so this is a step forwards ;)

I hope you liked it and will be back again soon! Until then, take care :)

New stamp set by WOW!

Wow embossingpowders maya isaksson butterfly

Today I'm up at the WOW blog with this card showing one of the stamps in the new set I designed for WOW. It's called Mariposa and it has this big butterfly and then some smaller and a flock of tiny ones. I googled it and a group of butterflies are apparently called a kaleidoscope which I think is a good name for it. Now I need to make a rainbow colored kaleidoscope of butterflies.

Anyways,  made this card using the lage butterfly and when I designed the set I wanted it to take up almost a full standard sized cardfront. I was so happy when I finally got to use it on a card because it looked just like I wanted it to. I'm super happy how it turned out. I embossed it with Black Twinkle embossing powder and then colored with Spectrum Aquas and added a coating of clear Sparkle pen on top and look at all the glitter. I did a small happy dance when I took the pictures ;)

I used Pick n Mix, another of my stamp sets, for the sentiment and decorated with gold thread and some clear sequins.

December challenge at Spectrum Noir

SpectrumNoirMayaIsakssonDecemberChallengeWM

The theme for the December challenge at Spectrum Noir is CAS. I always have a hard time knowing what really is CAS. I think I gravitate to CAS but it is hard to stop before tipping over on the other side to not so CAS ;) This is my try anyways. I used the lovely stamps I won from Winnie & Walter with the Spectrum Noir markers and the new Sparkle pens. And Gold embossing. And also some glossy accents. See what I mean, when to stop? I think it turned out pretty cute anyways.

Do hop on over to Spectrum Noir to see all the details and make something using Spectrum Noir products for a chance to win.

Christmas Monster

Maya Isaksson Spectrum Noir gummiapan watermarked

I love to make fun cards for the holidays and I made this using this cute monster guy by a Swedish company called Gummiapan. Isn't he adorable? I partially inked up the sentiment from one of the new Winnie & Walter sets to make it two rows instead of one long. I did consider cutting it apart but I still feel like they will scream. I'm way to attached to my stamps even though I do sometimes cut them apart too if needed.

I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color him: DR5, CR9, CR10, JG5, LG5, GG1. Really simple coloring. I did go in with the blender pen in the spots so that I didn't have to color around them. I finished up with some Glossy Accents on his eyes and spots and on the little heart. That's it. A not so holiday-y holiday card ;)

More watercolor stamping

Design in papers crafters companion maya isaksson

I'm working full speed this week. I'm away for Meet & Greet this weekend, a big event for crafters, arranged by Design in Papers at Eriksbergshallen in Gothenburg. So I need to work ahed to get all my deadlines done for next week. I usually craft on the weekend, working on next weeks projects and maybe the week after if I'm in the zone. But now and then there's the weekend when I can't get to my craft room and then it's great to be able to do some quicker projects since I'm usually a slow crafter. The watercolor stamping technique that I made a tutorial on for Spectrum Noir is perfect for this.

The big feather is super pretty and is part of a set by Crafters Companion. The sentiment is from the same set. I just stamped the feather and the sentiment and finished off by splattering some Aqua Tints in gold over the panel. And there I had this weeks project for Design in Papers done and it still looks pretty good :)

I'll be back tomorrow with a Pretty Crafty Stuff creation. I hope to see you then!

Watercolor stamping with Spectrum Aqua

I totally adore my Spectrum Aquas. There are so many pretty colors and I love how they blend. When I was doing my tutorial for Spectrum Noir this month I revisited an old technique that works with basically all kinds of water based markers but I never really tried it with my Aquas before starting to experiment with it for my tutorial. It worked amazingly well, as I expected :) Klick here to get to the tutorial, if you haven't tried it before I highly recommend playing around because it is very easy, fun and gives a very pretty result.

I started out with these pretty butterflies. I made them really colorful and made a CAS card out of the panel.

Then I reached for this pretty holly stamp and made a very quick Christmas card. Great for mass producing. And the embossed sentiment makes it look special even though it doesn't take many minutes to make after you have planned it out.

I also made this card using my Flights of Fancy stamps, I love how they turned out. I splattered some ink ovet it to make it a bit more interesting and added glitter on one side. Because glitter always makes everything prettier.

I hope you got some inspiration! Thank you for stopping by, see you soon again :)

A trio of cards

Lawnfawn trio dip maya isaksson

For my post at Design in Papers today I was playing with a set of Lawn Fawn stamps that I really like. I just wanted some no hassle, relaxing, coloring after taking the Copic certification exam this Saturday. I used Spectrum Noir markers and distress inks for these cute cards.

Some great chemistry is going on here...

I really had fun making these, they did not take long and they are very cute. I can imagine making a bunch more of them in different colors just for fun. Maybe I should use pearlised water for the splatters next time, that would be fun!

Thank you for stopping by today, I'll be back soon!

Maya isaksson abnh

This is my creation fro ABNH facebook page today. I had this great idea for a card and I tried five times and it just looked horrible. I finally admitted that I was defeated and stored the idea for future use. Instead I reached for an old favourite of mine, the circle from an older Hero Arts sed and made a focal point by white embossing it and make a colourful circle using some colors of distress ink I never combined before. It actually turned out very pretty, I just love it when new color combos work out. I added a diecut from Winnie & Walter that I covered with embossing powder to match the circle. I used some of my fav black and white paper and was so happy with the card I did a little dance in my chair.
