I was really happy to get published in the last issue of Inzpira Magazine with three of my creations. I made this translucent card with vellum and a transparent overlay.IMG_9312

Also a set of three kraft notecards to give as a gift to someone. I made a photo tutorial for these too.

Hurra!

IMG_9462

It's wednesday and that means that it is my turn at DESIGN in PAPERS. I made a birthday card for my daughters friend, she is going to a party this weekend. They are going horseback riding, she is very excited! I would be too :) Hurra is Hooray (pretty easy to guess), I like spelling out words for cards when I don't have a good stamp. I try to do texts in Swedish for kids even though they all know at least Happy Birthday. My son is in the second grade and just started to learn English at school and he is like a sponge, he know pretty much allready and loves to try to speak English at home. And that means that my daughter learns from him as well. They just loves to learn new stuff.

Well, anyways. That's my card for today, I hope you liked it! The papers are Studio Calico and the letters Heidi Swapp. See you soon!

Coloring pretty flowers

Today I’m up at DESIGN in PAPERS with this card using a pretty floral stamp from Stampendous called Morning Glory. I sort of suspect these are really blue flowers, but I really don’t know. I like pink flowers so that’s what I made ;) I also made a video coloring them, again using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils.

I think I’m learning to like navy, with pink and gold it actually looks good. I do however love wide stripes. Therefore I like this card.

Here is a close up on the image, I used a Wink Of Stella pen on top of the flowers. Very cute.

Here is me coloring the image, I sped it up quite a bit. I’m not really that fast ;) I think it took about 25-30 minutes to color this image. That is kind of fast. I hope you like it!

Fill up life with happy

IMG_6664

New year, new beginnings. I started this one by giving my blog a small makeover and then cleaning up in my scraproom and under all the piles of junk and glitter I found some inspiration. Apparently it helps to have a desk to work on and some space to move around the chair. I got the idea of making a mason jar with text on it and make it like a shaker card filled with pretty stuff. I made cards making a pretty watercolor background and made one for the jar as well, I love how it turned out.. It looks kind of dreamy.

IMG_6666

I did make a lid for the jar, embossing it and all but then I got the idea of letting some pf the happy in the jar burst out instead. I used some metallic thread and wood veneer for that. And I got to use some of my stickles.

IMG_6667

The background turned out really pretty too, it’s texture paste mixed with some distress ink. The mask I cut out with my Cameo. I love making my own masks! I use some of the cardstock in odd colors I’ve got. You can use tha mask a couple of times depending on how much of a mess you make.

The picture is of my daughter Idun and her friend Freja, we had a photo session this fall and Frejas mother Jessica took this picture. The girls had a lot of fun :) I think it was the perfect picture for this LO.

Card sketch from Karlstad

kortutmaning2

Here is a card I made for one of the sketch challenges in Karlstad. I really really love how this one turned out mostly because of the amazing feathers punched out with a die from Simon Says Stamp that I borrowed from my friend Tesa. I GOT to have this die. I love it almost as much as I love coffey and candy. Not as much as I love my kids, husband and dogs but somewhere between that, coffey, candy and hot scones. I will not exchange my car for the dies but I could give up my last chocolate bar for it. I’ll even give up my favourite tea that my aunt buys for me in Falun since I can’t get it here. But um.... I think my mind slipped away for a while...

Back to the card. I colored the feathers with red ink from Hero Arts and then some golden mist on the tips. I also colored some Heidi Swapp Color Magic paper for the background, took an envelope and altered it a bit before stamping my favourite sentiment from one of my favourite Hero Art stamp sets. I actually bought the whole set just for this stamp but the others are great too. Anyways. I love this card, it’s very pretty and have I mentioned the feather die? It’s to die for ;)

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I will blog a LO also made in Karlstad. Lots of inspiration in that place!

Everyone deserves a fairytale

It’s my blog day at Hobbyworld and I have another wedding themed card to show you today. I used the Cameo to make my card.

IMG_8250

I used the Cameo to cut out a card with heart shaped holes in it. I mounted the card on a misted background using dimensional adhesive. I think the sentiment was perfect for a wedding. I just added some bling from Prima to make it pop and a Kraft colored card base and my card was done. I love how it turned out, it’s really pretty with the shimmering Heidi Swapp Color shine mist in the background.
