Lots of tags

IMG_8982

This week at En liten butik we have a theme. It’s all about food and easter. Well, I’m not very good at easter. But I did find a picture of my mom and aunt, setting the table for easter dinner last year. There was a lot of pretty yellow and green so I grabbed that picture and started to make a LO. I had a lot of frames from Prima that I hadn’t gotten to use so I just arranged them around the picture and added a cute chipboard frame on top.

I backed the frame with a scrap piece of paper with embossed stars on it and added flowers.

I used my Cameo for the title, I got inspired by my DT collegue Alex who makes titles like this. I used my sketch pen to sketch the title and then cut around it. I used the glittery black pen to pick up the chalkboard look from the frame and one of the tags.

I like this LO. Even though the picture is a bit dark and imperfect it’s a lovely memory and it was fun documenting it.

The mosaic challenge

mosaiken

One of the hardest challenges in Karlstad (for me at least) was to use some of the mosaic in the goodiebag on something. I decided that I really don’t like mosaic and just skipped that one and sat down to play instead. I saw tis LO with lots of numbers in the background and wanted to try to make one and it was so much fun trying to puzzle all the random numbers together. Painting everything with Gesso and then misting on top. I though a picture of Idun doing some 3D puzzeling was nice to use with the background.

Anyways, in the end I found some semi matching pieces of mosaic and put it on the LO and entered the challenge anyway. I still don’t like mosaic but I’m very happy with the LO :) Tomorrow I’ll show you a card again and its really colorful! See you tomorrow (I hope!).

Embossed vellum

Here are my inspiration for En liten butik today. In October the theme for sundays are stamping and I wanted to show how nice it looks to stamp on vellum. I made this card using masks from prima and some really great products from Tattered Angels.

I like this stamp from Hero Arts, it has lots of different semtiments that will fit in the banner. I used this since I live in the west of Sweden and I thought that it might come in handy :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Texture paste and Crafters Workshop

Today I’ve made a card for En liten butik using a cool mask and some texture paste. It looks so cool!

I used some mist and a couple of sequins as embellishment. The Hero Arts stamp is embossed with black embossing powder and it really pops on the white card. I really like the effect of the texture paste, I just want to touch it!

I have some great news also! I get to stay on En liten butiks DT as a permanent member. I’m really really happy about this. I love the girls on the team, they are really creative and inspiring and the owner Lotta is great! Also, they have lots of super nice things in the shop and I get to play with some of them :) So with these news I wish you a nice weekend and come back tomorrow for my Hobbyworld post for this week. We will present the last part of our fall challenge and it’s a fun one! (also, this week I’ll just go ahead and post it on the correct day right away and not the day before like I accidently did last week...).

Autumn Signs

IMG_8425

Earlier today the first part of Hobbyworlds great fall challenge was presented. You really can’t miss this! I made a layout as inspiration and it’s all about autumn signs. I don’t really like autumn, its dark and gloomy but ther are some things I really like (like having HUGE cups of my favourite tea).

I made my own cut file for the Cameo as a title. I drew the text by hand, painted it black and scanned it into my computer. Then I traced it in the Silhouette Studio and cut it out. I’m no artist but I like how it turned out.

Almost everything on this layout is cut out with the Cameo and then misted (lots of Heidi Swapp Colorshine in gold, I’m addicted!!!!). I also stuck everything down with hot glue and 3D adhesive so there are lots of dimension on this layout. I use Bazzils Prismatic paper for cutting things out with the Cameo when I can. It cuts great even if the shapes are intricate. The orange “flowers” behind the photos are made with an edger punch from EK Success and cut apart.

Material/Supplies:

  • Silhouette Cameo

  • Bazzil Basics Cardstock – White

  • Bazzil Prismatic Cardstock – White

  • Basic Grey Lucille Gather Paper

  • Basic Grey Mini Alpha Stickers Grey

  • EK Success Flower burst Large Edger Punch

  • Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares - White, Variety Pack

  • Martha Stewart Crafts Ball Point Glue Pen

  • Artemio Mini Glue Gun

Everyone deserves a fairytale

It’s my blog day at Hobbyworld and I have another wedding themed card to show you today. I used the Cameo to make my card.

IMG_8250

I used the Cameo to cut out a card with heart shaped holes in it. I mounted the card on a misted background using dimensional adhesive. I think the sentiment was perfect for a wedding. I just added some bling from Prima to make it pop and a Kraft colored card base and my card was done. I love how it turned out, it’s really pretty with the shimmering Heidi Swapp Color shine mist in the background.
