Happy birthday to Pretty Crafty Stuff

Pretty crafty stuff maya isaksson november

Today one year ago I started my Etsy shop Pretty Crafty Stuff. Since then I started the Facebook page (that you really should check out if you haven't) and I've got an amazing DT that posts equally amazing projects once a week there. I've also seen some of my designs turned into stamps thanks to the great people at WOW Embossing powders. I really couldn't imagine all that when I was starting out making a few cut files a year ago. I hope I can continue making files, even if it is mostly for fun PCS is my baby and I'm really enjoying the creative outlet that it is.

This card was made using one of the files on top of a watercolored background. You can't tell by the photo but the cutout is covered in clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen so it's shimmery and pretty.

I'm so happy I've got so many supporting friends that lifts me up and makes me believe I can do stuff like this. I could not have done it with out help from all of you, I'm not even going to try to list names because you are many and I don't want to forget anyone. But a special thanks to Mary Dawn, Petra and Christin in the DT that keeps posting so many pretty projects using the files and coming up with ideas for new files. You guys are the best <3

You Shine

Pretty Crafty Stuff shine card

It's my turn to show something on the Pretty Crafty Stuff facebook page today and I love the light bulb. I embossed it with Neutral ultra shimmer embossing glitter from WOW! and ran it through a Xyron sticker maker to attach it to the watercolor panel. I stamped text using a Winnie & Walter stamp set that I love. That font on the "you"... <3

Anyways, still keeping it pretty simple to be done with everything before Meet & Greet this weekend. I'll be seeing a lot of my crafty wonderful friends and even though I'm technically working I hope to get some crafty time too.

Glittery Tulips

Pretty_crafty_stuff_tulips_maya_isaksson

I used the tulips from the Flower Silhouettes file to make this card. I covered them in WOW! Coconut Ice glitter embossing powder. It's sooooo pretty! It's a clear matte base with white glitter in it. It's one of my favourites since it is glittery but not too much. I also covered the background with golden embossing paste. Just smeared it on top of some ink blending that peeks out on the sides.

Look at all the glitter and shine. The sentiment are from one of the new sets that WOW! just released, it's called Pick n' Mix. I'll be back with a video and a post on them later this month.

I'll be back tomorrow with some cute ghosts from Lawn Fawn, I hope you'll be back then :) Take care now!

Love labels

Pretty crafty stuff maya labels

I made this cards using the new print and cut labels from Pretty Crafty Stuff, I thought it would be fun to use them for a card to show the versatility. I paired them with some new stamps that I designed for WOW! Embossing powder, this is just a sneak. The set will be released in September. I'll be doing some more sneaks of these and the other set I made that will be released at the same time. I can tell you that they are some graphical stamps and they will be very fun to play with! I'm super excited to see them on projects. Can't wait!

That's it for today, I'll be back tomorrow with some exciting news that I have been dying to share with you! Then again on Wednesday for my regular Design in Papers post. See you then (I hope) :)

I also wanted to share a card I made for Pretty Crafty Stuff, I used my favourite of the new embossing powders Marion Emberson designed for WOW, the Atlantic Seaspray. So pretty. I covered the whole jewel from Shine with it and it's yummy!

Smile, you're special

Smile_PCS

I made this card for the Pretty Crafty Stuff facebook page today. I used one of the flower silhouettes as a mask and just sprayed some mist over it, after drying I added some gold splatters. The big Smile-stamp is one of my own designs that WOW Embossingpowders makes and sell, it's called Big Words. The smaller words are from Winnie & Walter as well as the die. I think the card turned out very pretty :) And as a bonus I have a pretty misted flower to use on a later project.

I was so happy when I saw that I made the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Guest DT! I am so excited to work with their amazing products. Yay!

Summer in the WOW blog

Wow_smile

This month the theme for the challenge at WOW is summer and I hope you will join us there! I made this card watercolored using summery colors. The stamps are two brand new sets that are released this month, Flight of Fancy and Big Words and they are designed by me! So you can imagine I'm excited to show them to you :) If you like Flight of Fancy you can find a matching set of cut files in the Pretty Crafty Stuff shop. The big word are my handwriting and it's a great set for cards. I hope you are as excited as I am about these stamps. Marion Emberson designed the other two sets that are released now and they are also so much fun! And dont get me started on the new colors, yum! And there is a very pretty feather mould that I'm looking forward to getting my hands on.

If I were you I'd hop on over to the WOW blog and take part of the challenge, just remember to use WOW products or heat embossing! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I was so happy to see all the lovely comments on the Pretty Pink Posh bloghop. They all made me smile! I was so looking forward to hopping but haven't had time to do that yet. I'll do it later this week even though the hop is officially over. I just love the inspiration.

Take care now <3

Flawless Magnolias

Pretty crafty stuff magnolia

Today is my first regular post for the Pretty Crafty Stuff DT, I wanted to use the new flower silhouette cut file. I love magnolias, they are so pretty! I had one cut out of white cardstock and I tried to colour it using the SpectrumAquas and it was sort of ok. I grabbed some watercolour pencils and added some shading and it turned out pretty great! I used Winnie & Walter stamps and dies. I've been wanting to use that pretty xoxoxoxo die border to do embossing since I first saw it and it was just as perfect as I Imagined. I love the black and white against the soft pink. I hope you do too! For more inspiration I would love you to like the Pretty Crafty Stuff facebook page, the team are very inspiring.

Take care now, see you soon!

I like the way you roll!

Lawn_fawn_sushi_wOk, I know that technically those aren't sushi rolls but the rolls were to wide to fit the card so I'm pretending I didn't notice. My mojo went on vacation and I spent three days cleaning and reorganising my scrap room, starting on different cards and ending up tossing them. That is so rare, me tossing anything, I always try to save them but I got so annoyed I just started over. And over. And over. And then I finally got something right, I got the idea to make a recessed panel with an airbrushed gradient and voila. Finally I got a card made. Now I'm sort of in phase again and hope my mojo will stay for a while.

This is my post for Design in Papers this week by the way. We have the big Becky Higgins event coming up sooooon(ish), I'm so looking forward to it. I'll be helping out and I'm super excited even though I'm not doing much PL, just a spread now and then. I don't aim to do ful years, just weeks here and there. They are more spotlights on everyday life than anything else. Still fun. Maybe I'll be inspired to do more after this. And I forgot to mention here that there is a big event in the fall called Meet and greet in Gothenburg. It will be a big crop with shops and also classes. There are room for about 500 people and I'm sure it will be awesome! You should definitely come, see the Design in Papers blog for more info on both events.

And in other news I just released a new file called Flower Silhouettes in the Pretty Crafty Stuff shop, it's really pretty. One of my most liked designs are the animal silhouettes so I thought I would make another silhouette-file and see if you liked them. You can find them here.

The new Pretty Crafty Stuff DT

Pretty_crafty_stuff_shine

Today is a very exciting day to me, because Pretty Crafty Stuff now has a design team! I have the best friends who believe in me, supports me and now some of them even (sort of) works for me. This week we are having an introduction week at the Pretty Crafty Stuff Facebook page. Each member of the team will show a creation and tell us a bit about themselves and give away their favourite cut file from the shop. I'll be very happy if you want to join in on the party!

And today you'll be meeting the awesome and amazing... me! Well, just me. I couldn't miss out of the fun. I made a card using a design from the Shine cut file. This card really made itself, I used the e-brush to airbrush it using Spectrum Noir markers. I love the gradient effect! I temporarily adhered the design to the paper while airbrushing and then popped it up with some 3D-foam. Then I used some chipboard and attached it with some gold thread under it. The card only needed some sequins before it was done. Yay! And the best part? I love it!

So, join the party at facebook. Remember to turn the notifications on so you won't miss out when the other girls are introducing themselves. I promise you inspiration. These ladies rock my socks, they aren't just my friends but really really talented crafters. I am ridiculously  proud to have them on my team! :)

Thanks for stopping by today! Take care!
