I like the way you roll!

Lawn_fawn_sushi_wOk, I know that technically those aren't sushi rolls but the rolls were to wide to fit the card so I'm pretending I didn't notice. My mojo went on vacation and I spent three days cleaning and reorganising my scrap room, starting on different cards and ending up tossing them. That is so rare, me tossing anything, I always try to save them but I got so annoyed I just started over. And over. And over. And then I finally got something right, I got the idea to make a recessed panel with an airbrushed gradient and voila. Finally I got a card made. Now I'm sort of in phase again and hope my mojo will stay for a while.

This is my post for Design in Papers this week by the way. We have the big Becky Higgins event coming up sooooon(ish), I'm so looking forward to it. I'll be helping out and I'm super excited even though I'm not doing much PL, just a spread now and then. I don't aim to do ful years, just weeks here and there. They are more spotlights on everyday life than anything else. Still fun. Maybe I'll be inspired to do more after this. And I forgot to mention here that there is a big event in the fall called Meet and greet in Gothenburg. It will be a big crop with shops and also classes. There are room for about 500 people and I'm sure it will be awesome! You should definitely come, see the Design in Papers blog for more info on both events.

And in other news I just released a new file called Flower Silhouettes in the Pretty Crafty Stuff shop, it's really pretty. One of my most liked designs are the animal silhouettes so I thought I would make another silhouette-file and see if you liked them. You can find them here.

I love you

I_love_you_stitched

Today I'm up at the DESIGN in PAPERS blog with this card. I got the idea when taking pictures for the new PrettyCraftyStuff file Tag, you're it!. I Just lay out some of the tags on some journaling cards from the Amy Tan Stitches collection and the hearts looked great with the love tag. I decided to make a card with the journaling card and the tag and I was really happy with the result!

I think the tags I designed for Tag, you're it! are so great. I have a bunch laying on my desk and keep grabbing them for projects. I hope you like them too!

I've been busy in the craft room lately, I'm now done with all my projects for February. I had to prepare a bit since me and my daughter are having our birthdays next week, her party is this weekend and mother in law is coming for a visit too. And then I'm going to Birmingham next week for the Craft Hobby + Stitch international and it will be so much fun! I have signed up for a lot of workshops and am looking forward to meeting some of my friends from the WOW! team and lots of other creative people. It's super exciting! And I haven't been traveling anywhere except for visiting my family for a few years, I love to travel! And I have the best travel companions too this time so I'm sure it will be fun!

Oh well, thanks for stopping by today. I have some projects that haven't been blogged yet since I've been very busy, I think there will be a few up in the blog each week for the whole month as soon as I can find the time to schedule all of them. I also have an almost done video to upload but I'm struggling to do a voice-over since I got some requests for that. My video editing program keeps crashing every time I try but I've got some advice on other software to use and will give that a try.

You make me happy!

IMG_9623

I recently got my hands on the Stitched collection by Amy Tan. I'm so in love with it I have a hard time cutting the papers. I have been lovingly flipping through the papers for a week and finally I could cut in one to make this card for my DT post for DESIGN in PAPERS this week. I got a bunch of the matching decos to and it's really easy making cards even without any stamps. I loved these die cuts and stickers. They made me happy :)

Winnie and Walter playdate no 4 revisited

I made a card for Winnie and Walter playdate no.4 in the beginning of the month. While I had the stamps out I made a couple of other cards. This first one is actually following the color inspiration even though it doesn't look like it since I stamped with white under. There is two different tones of teal/green and red/pink but it looks hopelessly pastel. I hope it'll pass as a less saturated version of the inspiration image. And it's not a christmas card, since I don't have any christmas stamps from W&W. I'll enter this card in the challenge.IMG_9576

Well, this other card started out fab, most of all as therapy coloring while listening to an audio book. Then it went downhill from that. I kind of like it but at the same time I don't. Well, since I already have two cards for the challenge I decided to blog it but not enter it. I think it's because the text doesn't show up on the very loud background. Ot it's just the mess I made when trying to make it pop by adding some white gel pen. Who knows. You can't be totally happy with everything :)

That's it from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with some Art Journaling. I was debating weather I was going to blog my AJ or not but since I use the blog as a kind of creative journal to see all my stuff in one place I'll blog it all in one post and be done with it. I also decided not to blog my Project Life spreads since they are a pain to photograph. Maby when I've done a few I'll change my mind but they aren't all that interesting anyways.

Thanks for stopping by!

We go together

RevereConfettiPrettyCraftyStuffTogether

I rediscovered there great Reverse Confetti stamps while looking for something else. I had this circle die cut I made for Pretty Crafty Stuff on my craft table and thought they would look great together because of the modern feel. I colored the die cut using Distress ink and used matching embossing powders on a black background to make them pop. It looks really graphical and cool I think.

Tomorrow I'll be posting another christmas card but I thought this could be a nice with another type of card for a change.

Crosstitch star card

PrettyCraftyStuffCrosstitchStar

I used one of my Pretty Crafty Stuff cut files to make a stencil, this crosstitch star is really pretty to use embossing paste with. I colored the paste really light blue, it doesn't show in the pictures but up close you can see it. I only wish I would have poured some glitter embossing powder on top. I didn't think about that until I was done with the card. The stamp I got from Ebay and I have no idea what brand it is but it comes with a few others that are just as cute. I silver embossed it on vellum and cut it out by hand. I really like white on white for winter themed cards.

Thank you for visiting today, there is a lot of posts this week. I've been busy as a bee :)

Heart card with Pebbles Homemade

If you are here for the WOW and Ruby Rock-it bloghop it's the next post, just keep scrolling.IMG_9581

I can't get enough of these papers from Pebbles Homemade collection, so I'm using them again for a card for this weeks post at DESIGN in PAPERS. I might need to use some of the other stuff I got in my kit but these papers just keep calling me to use them and only them. and who am I to not listen to paper calling my name. I might get locked up soon since I claimed the left overs from yesterdays dinner called me in to the kitchen to eat them so I did. Hearing voices from inanimate objects is apperently not normal, what do I know. Right now there are some stamps in the scrap room calling my name... Better get down there ;)

Oh, the heart is avalible in my Etsy shop, it comes with a star, a chevron and a circle in the same style.

Fathers day card

IMG_9547

This sunday was fathers day here in Sweden. This year, for the first time, I did not have a dad to send a card to so I made this for my kids amazing father instead. I made it with some great papers from Pebbles, I think this houndstooth is fantastic. I just love it! I used some Lawn Fawn heart-dies to cut out the heart and some thickers and letter stickers to spell out the words. Far är rar means something like Father is sweet, it's from a book I had when I was a kid. The book is ment to teach kids to read so it's full of easy sentences like Far är rar. And very strangely Mor ror. Which means Mother rows... It makes totally no sense at all but I guess it worked ;) I am very good at reading now.

This is my blog post for DESIGN in PAPERS this week. Thank you so much for stopping by! See you soon again (i hope)...
