The new Pretty Crafty Stuff DT

Pretty_crafty_stuff_shine

Today is a very exciting day to me, because Pretty Crafty Stuff now has a design team! I have the best friends who believe in me, supports me and now some of them even (sort of) works for me. This week we are having an introduction week at the Pretty Crafty Stuff Facebook page. Each member of the team will show a creation and tell us a bit about themselves and give away their favourite cut file from the shop. I'll be very happy if you want to join in on the party!

And today you'll be meeting the awesome and amazing... me! Well, just me. I couldn't miss out of the fun. I made a card using a design from the Shine cut file. This card really made itself, I used the e-brush to airbrush it using Spectrum Noir markers. I love the gradient effect! I temporarily adhered the design to the paper while airbrushing and then popped it up with some 3D-foam. Then I used some chipboard and attached it with some gold thread under it. The card only needed some sequins before it was done. Yay! And the best part? I love it!

So, join the party at facebook. Remember to turn the notifications on so you won't miss out when the other girls are introducing themselves. I promise you inspiration. These ladies rock my socks, they aren't just my friends but really really talented crafters. I am ridiculously  proud to have them on my team! :)

Thanks for stopping by today! Take care!

Petra's Peekaboo Circles

We_go_together

I made a new cut file for Pretty Crafty Stuff, my friend Petra made wish for a file and I thought the idea was great so I made it into a file. Here is a layout using it with some lovely Craft Market paper and decos from Crate Paper. I think it turned out fun. Also I got to use some Reverse Confetti stamps I had in my stash and really love. And some old photos I never scrapped because they were very small and not so good. But together and in this small format it didn't really matter.

So, go shop Petra's Peekaboo circles and thanks for stopping by!

I love you

I_love_you_stitched

Today I'm up at the DESIGN in PAPERS blog with this card. I got the idea when taking pictures for the new PrettyCraftyStuff file Tag, you're it!. I Just lay out some of the tags on some journaling cards from the Amy Tan Stitches collection and the hearts looked great with the love tag. I decided to make a card with the journaling card and the tag and I was really happy with the result!

I_love_you_stitched_detail

I think the tags I designed for Tag, you're it! are so great. I have a bunch laying on my desk and keep grabbing them for projects. I hope you like them too!

I've been busy in the craft room lately, I'm now done with all my projects for February. I had to prepare a bit since me and my daughter are having our birthdays next week, her party is this weekend and mother in law is coming for a visit too. And then I'm going to Birmingham next week for the Craft Hobby + Stitch international and it will be so much fun! I have signed up for a lot of workshops and am looking forward to meeting some of my friends from the WOW! team and lots of other creative people. It's super exciting! And I haven't been traveling anywhere except for visiting my family for a few years, I love to travel! And I have the best travel companions too this time so I'm sure it will be fun!

Oh well, thanks for stopping by today. I have some projects that haven't been blogged yet since I've been very busy, I think there will be a few up in the blog each week for the whole month as soon as I can find the time to schedule all of them. I also have an almost done video to upload but I'm struggling to do a voice-over since I got some requests for that. My video editing program keeps crashing every time I try but I've got some advice on other software to use and will give that a try.

Hey!

Hey_stitched

I'm running a bit behind but here is my creation for DESIGN in PAPERS this week, I keep going back to the Stitched collection by Amy Tan, the colors are so pretty. I made a watercolor background with the same color scheme and added one of the new PrettyCraftyStuff tags. This one you can use as is, letting some pretty background paper showing through the slits or do what I did. Weave in the pretty papers to make a decorative tag.

Hey_stitched

I added some wood veneer and god thread and called it a day. I don't think it needs more decorating. It's also a great way to use up some of those paper strips that is to pretty to throw away.

Thanks for stopping by!

New file in the shop!

I finally had some time to make a new file for the shop. I called it Tag you're it! It's nine different tag shapes and they are really useful! You can resize them and use on cards or layouts. I did some cool paper weaving on the striped tag, I'll show you the card later, it's for a DT assignment.

For more pictures head on over to Pretty Crafty Stuff. On the Pretty Crafty Stuff facebook page there is a coupon for 20% off, valid through Janyary. Just sayin'... Enjoy!

(I just needed to add, it's lots and lots of snow outside. It makes it brighter and easier to take photos but the colors are all wrong and blue-ish. I can't wait for spring!)

Lots of tags

IMG_8982

This week at En liten butik we have a theme. It’s all about food and easter. Well, I’m not very good at easter. But I did find a picture of my mom and aunt, setting the table for easter dinner last year. There was a lot of pretty yellow and green so I grabbed that picture and started to make a LO. I had a lot of frames from Prima that I hadn’t gotten to use so I just arranged them around the picture and added a cute chipboard frame on top.

IMG_8983

I backed the frame with a scrap piece of paper with embossed stars on it and added flowers.

I used my Cameo for the title, I got inspired by my DT collegue Alex who makes titles like this. I used my sketch pen to sketch the title and then cut around it. I used the glittery black pen to pick up the chalkboard look from the frame and one of the tags.

I like this LO. Even though the picture is a bit dark and imperfect it’s a lovely memory and it was fun documenting it.

Fill up life with happy

IMG_6664

New year, new beginnings. I started this one by giving my blog a small makeover and then cleaning up in my scraproom and under all the piles of junk and glitter I found some inspiration. Apparently it helps to have a desk to work on and some space to move around the chair. I got the idea of making a mason jar with text on it and make it like a shaker card filled with pretty stuff. I made cards making a pretty watercolor background and made one for the jar as well, I love how it turned out.. It looks kind of dreamy.

IMG_6666

I did make a lid for the jar, embossing it and all but then I got the idea of letting some pf the happy in the jar burst out instead. I used some metallic thread and wood veneer for that. And I got to use some of my stickles.

IMG_6667

The background turned out really pretty too, it’s texture paste mixed with some distress ink. The mask I cut out with my Cameo. I love making my own masks! I use some of the cardstock in odd colors I’ve got. You can use tha mask a couple of times depending on how much of a mess you make.

The picture is of my daughter Idun and her friend Freja, we had a photo session this fall and Frejas mother Jessica took this picture. The girls had a lot of fun :) I think it was the perfect picture for this LO.

Christmas tags

I’m very happy I finally got out my Cameo from under the pile of junk where it has been hiding for to long. I sat an entire night cutting stuff out and made some christmas tags while I were at it.

I used some lovely papers from Carta Bella for my tags and they really didn’t need much more decorations.

Gift box

IMG_8715

This weekend I’m visiting my younger brother. Since we saw each other the last time he has gotten married, his wife has had her disputation and this week it is his turn. They do deserve a gift and off course I brought one. It just needed a box. I measured the gift and draw a rectangle that size in Silhouette Studio, I found a box I liked and rezised it so that the bottom rectangle was the same size as my drawn rectangle. That way I knew my gift would fit in the box. Since the box got quite big and didn’t fit my 12x12 cardstock I got out the big guns, my 12x24 inch cutting mat and cardstock.

IMG_8719

I had some pipes and other parts from Prima that are so cool I just had to use them, I need more!!! I also added some black and grey glittery flowers from Prima. I really like my box. Maby I could have lined it with some Silhouette chipboard to make it sturdy since it is quite big. But this will work as long as I am careful with it. This is my project for Hobbyworld this week.

Silhouette Stamp Material

I was totally happy when I got a start kit of Silhouette Stamp Material in my dt-kit from Hobbyworld. I was not dissapointed because the stamps turned out great. I just wanted to add that to be able to use the special cutting mat you have to remove the white protective paper first. Don’t ask how I know that ;) The material is quite thin and if you cut intricate stamps from it they will be kind of hard to get the right shape when you mount them. You can use your print function in Silhouette Studio to first print out the shape on regular printer paper, then cut the shape from the material and when you are going to mount the stamp you just put it over the printed image and see that the shape looks right and then just press down your acrylic block on top and it will stick to it and be the right shape.

IMG_8713

I decided to make a Christmas stamp since most of mine are in english. I am really happy with how it turned out! I embossed the stamp in gold on black cardstock and the embossing ink worked great with my stamp. I cleaned it with a baby wipe and let air dry.

IMG_8707

The first card I embellished with brads from Carta Bella. I also had some left over enamel dots in odd colours and I painted them gold with some great gold pens from EK Success. I uset the same pen to doodle little dots on the card and faux stitching.

IMG_8710

The other card got some bling embellishments from Marianne Design and also some doodeled dots. My dear DT-collegue Linda has infected me with dot-fever, she does those cut little trios of dots everywhere and I wanted to try ;)
