Hello Crafty Friend

It’s my turn to make a solo post fro ABNH today and we have collaborated with Paper Smooches this month. I got this artsy set called I heart art and since I had my crafty friend Tesa visiting me for a few days I got inspired to make cards that I can send to my crafty friends.

My friend had some inspirational pictures with her to kick-start our creativity and this card was based on one with some paint splatter. The brush strokes set from Hero Arts is a perfect companion to this Paper Smooches set!

I love the paint brush in the set, so fun to color!

This one was a bonus card, I was playing around with a new embossing folder and the small neon ink cubes from Hero Arts.

There is still some time to enter the current challenge, Simon Says Stamp has generously sponored us with a great prize! One layer cards, now that is a challenge!

Thanks to Paper Smooches who sent me this fun stamp set to play with! And thanks to you for stopping by :)

Love notes

I made these cards for DESIGN in PAPERS using a die from American craft and the Wanderlust collection.

I cut out the word love from a piece of patterned paper and also from a piece of white cardstock, making sure to keep the two little inside pieces.

I put the white word in the hole in the patterned paper and got this lovely card. I embossed some wood veneer as decoration and added the word you with translucent letters. Cute!

When I cut the word from white cardstock I made another card from that piece of cardstock. I put the patterned piece in the hole in the cardstock and got another card. This one I love.

I just stamped a everyday below and added three glittery enamel dots. It’s very CAS and very very pretty. I’m happy! I could make a ton of these. I had to stop myself from trying all of the patterns to see wich one looked best. I think this map print was so pretty on these cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

ABNH Birthday Bloghop

white-frame

We are celebrating A blog named Hero since the blog is two years old and we are doing it with a blog hop. If you came here from Lisa Stein, you are on the right track.  Lisa makes really fun and imaginative cards I think. If you came here any other way and wants to hop along please go to A blog named hero and start there :)

The theme is of course birthday and I made this card in black and white. I based it on a layout I did a while ago that also was split in two parts. I really think it’s a fun effect! I wanted the sentiment to be two colored too so I made sure to place it right over the two papers.

Next stop on the way is Virginia Lu, go see what she created. I’m sure you will love it, she is such a talented cardmaker. I love her colorful cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please leave a comment before hopping along to increase your chace of winning prizes from our generous sponsors Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts :)
