Christmas fun at A blog named Hero

I hope you haven't missed out on all the inspiration over at A blog named Hero this month. There is new inspiration each day, sometimes even two posts a day and we are all sharing what we like most about Christmas.

Today is my turn to inspire and I made a card using one of my own cut files and one of my favourite Hero Arts background stamps.

HeroArtsStars

I embossed the black background using silver pearl embossing powder from WOW and colored my die cut with Distress ink. Lots of shimmer using mist on top of the triangles that now looks like trees. I did stretch out the file first to make the triangles longer. I think it looks great.

There is two prizes from Simon Says Stamp to win by commenting on one of the post at A blog named Hero (you are very welcome to comment my post here too but you won't win anything, you'll just make my day).

Crosstitch star card

PrettyCraftyStuffCrosstitchStar

I used one of my Pretty Crafty Stuff cut files to make a stencil, this crosstitch star is really pretty to use embossing paste with. I colored the paste really light blue, it doesn't show in the pictures but up close you can see it. I only wish I would have poured some glitter embossing powder on top. I didn't think about that until I was done with the card. The stamp I got from Ebay and I have no idea what brand it is but it comes with a few others that are just as cute. I silver embossed it on vellum and cut it out by hand. I really like white on white for winter themed cards.

Thank you for visiting today, there is a lot of posts this week. I've been busy as a bee :)
