Earlier this month WOW! Embossing powders released two more sets of stamps that I designed for them I'm so happy to see my ideas come to life and I love seeing crafters using them in creative ways. anyways. The latest sets are called Pick 'n mix and Sparkle & Shine. I made this video talking about them and sharing some projects I made.

A small art journal page for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft

I'm up at the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog today for a guest post making a small art journal page. If you click here you can find the full post with an instructional video and list of materials used for my project. That small art journal is so darn cute and very fun to work with.

I hope you like it and if you come back tomorrow I'll have another art journal page for you, a big one with lots of psychedelic colors. That's what happens when you listens to '70s rock while crafting ;)

Disclaimer: I received product from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft to create this project, but all opinions are my own.

Colouring Circus Trixie

A while back I made a colouring video using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils and I got a lot of wiews on that one. I guess this is something people are interested in seeing as the pencils are sort of new and there aren't as many videos using them out there. I decided to make another video because I do love those pencils and I haven't taken the time to color any images in a while. I colored Circus Trixie from Saturated Canary this time. She is adorable, and she reminds me of my daughter.IMG_9506

the card is nothing fancy, I just used some papers I liked and tried to pick up the circle shape of the ring she is standing in. I hope you like the video. Thanks for stopping by![youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0_Pf9N_1iI]

Making backgrounds

Today is the last Tuesday in the month and that means technique tuesday at En liten butik. I made a pretty background for a couple of cards using watercolor papers, Distress Ink, Distress Paint and Embossing Enamel. I made a short video showing the technique.

Here are my two cards using the backgrounds, I think they are really cute!

Copic coloring a mermaid

IMG_9427

Time for a new coloring video. I colored a mermaid from Saturated Canary this time. I'm just loving Saturated Canary at the moment, they are really fun to color. After coloring her up I just cut a couple of wavey forms from post it tape and sponged different colors over it to make this fun ocean background. I hadn't planned to make a card when i printed her out (its a digi stamp) she is kind of big, not a lot of room for decos and the card is a bit larger than standard size.

Enjoy the video!

Copic coloring video

Today I wanted to share a coloring video I made this weekend. If you have followed my blog you might know I have taken the ECCP Copic coloring classes and got really inspired. I decided to practice my coloring every day, and I have. Well, most days anyway. I'm really enjoying it too. So to make it more fun I thought I would make some videos, just sped up Copic coloring for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing. I usually just color up an image and put it in the pile of colored images (that might come in handy when I'm in a pinch for a quick card), but since I got the setup to record I thought it would be fun to see the progress. And to be honest, I've got this new MacBook Pro and I wanted to play with iMovie. After figuring it out I'm totally happy with it. It was way quicker to edit the video AND to upload it. But I miss the free soundtracks that came with my old program so it's a bit repetetive. I'll try to find some new music online that is free to use but I wanted to share my video ASAP so I hope it's not to annoying.

This is the card I made from the image I colored. The stamp is Saturated Canary. I love their digis. I usually print out 4 on a A4 sheet of paper and cut them apart to color one at a time. I carry all my markers in a camera bag so I'll ust pop a bunch of images in one of the side pockets along with the materail from the ECCP-classes and a color sheet where I can see all my colors at once. I'll take the whole bag up to the living room and color while watching tv with hubbie or between dinner and bed time when the kids are happy occupying themselves. Oh, I should mention that the video is sped up 4 times so it took me about 1 h 10 minutes to color this image.

I hope you like it. I'm curious if you would like more coloring videos or more general cardmaking/scrapbooking videos? I'm not a very organized cardmaker so editing the cardmaking videos takes a bit more time than just editing out the parts where I can't find the right markers in a coloring video. ;)

Well, that's it from me today. If you are wondering where my regular wednesday-post was missing this week it's because I'm stupid. My memory card reader died on me when I was going to import my pictures and I was a bit slow and did not realize I could connect the computer to the camera and just get them that way. I'm blaming school, I'm just finishing up my last engineering assignment and my brain hurts from all the thinking. I might have broken it in a few places.

See you another day I hope, thanks for stopping by!

Coloring pretty flowers

Today I’m up at DESIGN in PAPERS with this card using a pretty floral stamp from Stampendous called Morning Glory. I sort of suspect these are really blue flowers, but I really don’t know. I like pink flowers so that’s what I made ;) I also made a video coloring them, again using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils.

IMG_9328

I think I’m learning to like navy, with pink and gold it actually looks good. I do however love wide stripes. Therefore I like this card.

IMG_9331

Here is a close up on the image, I used a Wink Of Stella pen on top of the flowers. Very cute.

Here is me coloring the image, I sped it up quite a bit. I’m not really that fast ;) I think it took about 25-30 minutes to color this image. That is kind of fast. I hope you like it!

Coloring video and a romantic card

It’s my time to post on the WOW blog today, hop on over to take a look at this pretty romantic card for this months theme, monocrome. It’s very glittery and pretty! I love the vintage romance embossing powder, very pretty!

So, If you want to see the whole card klick on the picture.

And finally I’m happy to share my first coloring video using the Spectrum Noir blendable pencils. I must say I’m just starting to use the pencils but I very much enjoy coloring with them. It’s pretty fast and gives great results. The video is my way of using them, I have no idea if it’s the “right” way. But it works for me. This is the card I made with the image.
