Smile!

Lawn_fawn_dog

My card for DESIGN in PAPERS this week was pure coloring therapy. I stamped a background using Blissful Botanical by Lawn Fawn and a dog from Critters at the dogpark inside a stamped frame. I colored it using Spectrum Noir markers and blendable pencils.

I have something fun going on for the Pretty Crafty Stuff facebook page. I am SUPER excited by this and as soon as I'm all done I will tell you all about it. There are also some new files in the making. So go like the page and check your notification settings because you don't want to miss this.

Merry Christmas with Lawn Fawn

Lawnfawn

For todays post at DESIGN in PAPERS I've been using the Joy to the Woods stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I colored it with Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils. I also got these wonderful papers from Amy Tangerine called Stitched and this sort of knit patterned paper is perfect for christmas cards. Unfortionetly the other side of the paper is also really great with some kind of journaling tags that are super cute. I would recommend getting two of this paper. Of almost all of the papers in fact. They are super cute!

Talking about Spectrum Noir, I made a card for their november challenge, first time I entered and my card was picked as Card of the month! How cool is that??? I'm super happy because there was some really pretty cards entering and I mean it was my first try. I'll definetly try again this month if I can find the time. Here is the card that won.

Colouring Circus Trixie

A while back I made a colouring video using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils and I got a lot of wiews on that one. I guess this is something people are interested in seeing as the pencils are sort of new and there aren't as many videos using them out there. I decided to make another video because I do love those pencils and I haven't taken the time to color any images in a while. I colored Circus Trixie from Saturated Canary this time. She is adorable, and she reminds me of my daughter.IMG_9506

the card is nothing fancy, I just used some papers I liked and tried to pick up the circle shape of the ring she is standing in. I hope you like the video. Thanks for stopping by![youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0_Pf9N_1iI]

Happy for you

IMG_9500

Today is my day at DESIGN in PAPERS blog, and I made this card using Lawn Fawn stamps and Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils. I love how vibrant they turn out even on colored cardstock. I have totally fallen in love with these leaves from Blissful Botanical. I love those stripes on some of the leaves, it's very graphical but still organic if it makes any sense?

I used a part of the sentiment from Let's Roll for the card. I think the card turned out very pretty and pleasing to the eye with the white gel pen as a contrast.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm going to spend some time in the craft room this week I think, I hope to make something that I can share. Also I'm going to blog the creations I made for Inzpira Magazine last month. I hope you'll be back for that :)

Blissful Botanical Birthday

IMG_9470

I've been to a great crop with the DT for DESIGN in PAPERS this weekend. As usual we had a lot of fun and even did some crafting, imagine that ;) I made this card using Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanical stamps and matching dies. I colored the images using Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils from Crafters Companion. I've said it before, those pens are fun! I showed them to a 9 year old boy when I was there and he loved them. His mom got them for him, the look on his face when she told him he could get a set. Priceless! He was going to color dragons, such a cool kid!

Anyways, I had a great weekend and was as tierd as one is supposed to be after having so much fun :) I haven't gotten to unpacking yet but as soon as I've got some new energy I'll be unpacking some new stuff I got. Oh, I also tried Project Life, I got one of the mini kits and I hope it will be a regular thing doing a page for each week instead of a spread since I don't take enough pictures for a spread... It was fun and a bit frustrating, I think I'll get a hang of it and it will be a lot quicker. I might even use up some of my old stash too. At least I hope I will. Got a lot of old decos that I hoard... ehrm... COLLECT, I mean COLLECT. Of course.

Well, that's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by!

Colored embossing

IMG_9420

This is my post for DESIGN in PAPERS today. I white-embossed this lovely floral stamp from Indigo Blue on vellum and colored it on the back side using Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils. I blended the colors a bit using the odorless mineral spirits to get rid of some streaking that I didn't like and I think it turned out quite pretty!

That's it from me today. I have some projects redy to blog so you'll probably hear from me again soon. I have another Copic coloring video ready to be uploaded to youtube so keep your eyes open if you like coloring videos. I'll be coloring a mermaid from Saturated Canary. Until then, take care!

I made this card for DESIGN in PAPERS, I wanted to try combining Copic markers with the Spectrum Noir blendable pencils, and it turned out really good. I made a video showing all the coloring, then I put it all together and it turned out so cute! I just love the soft colors...

Weeeelllllll.... When I started editing the video I briefly thought I was really fast coloring since the whole movie was just aout 20 minutes and I remembered spending a long time looking for the right markers and other stuff that needed to be edited out. Well... Turns out the memory card was full after about half the video was taped. So. No movie today. Sorry.

For all the details hop on over to DESIGN in PAPERS. There will be another post later today, I’m having my day at WOW! today. So do come back if you’d like to see a lovely colorful card with a bit of sparkle. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Coloring pretty flowers

Today I’m up at DESIGN in PAPERS with this card using a pretty floral stamp from Stampendous called Morning Glory. I sort of suspect these are really blue flowers, but I really don’t know. I like pink flowers so that’s what I made ;) I also made a video coloring them, again using the Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils.

I think I’m learning to like navy, with pink and gold it actually looks good. I do however love wide stripes. Therefore I like this card.

Here is a close up on the image, I used a Wink Of Stella pen on top of the flowers. Very cute.

Here is me coloring the image, I sped it up quite a bit. I’m not really that fast ;) I think it took about 25-30 minutes to color this image. That is kind of fast. I hope you like it!
