Christmas ornaments

IMG_9551

I made a card for the Winnie & Walter Playdate #4. I really wanted to make a christmas card because of the color theme and inspirational pictures but I don't have any W&W christmas themed stamps. So I used some ornament die cuts and added the great starburst shapes from W&W for the background. I think it turned out great. I love the stamps from the sequins stamp set, they are such a good accent to add on any background. I embossed them with white pearl embossing powder and used distress ink for the background. I cut the ornaments from vellum, glitter paper and the red ones I colored with distress ink and added glossy accent on top.

I've made a couple of more cards for the challenge that I'll blog when i have time to take pictures.

Am I the only one who is looking forward to putting up some christmas decorations? I think I'll start decorating next weekend. It's been a few years since we were spending christmas at home and I haven't really felt like putting much effort in the decorations when we weren't going to be at home to enjoy it. This year I'll go all in. At least that is the plan ;)

Jolly Holly Days

Today I made a christmas card for DESIGN in PAPERS using some Lawn Fawn and IdigoBlu stamps. I think it turned out really pretty, the colors gives me a christmas tree feel. I embossed the ornaments and then colored my background with Distress ink, stamped some little branches with needles on and some snow flakes and added a bit of gold mist. Tadaaaa!

Is it really time to make christmas cards already??? I just realized it's really fall outside, time just passes too fast for my taste.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will have a great day <3

Hera are a couple of cards I made for WOW! to take on their trade shows. This first are using Clear matt embossing powder for the background, love the effect. Also I made some custom glitter paper using Calypso embossing glitter. Pretty!

Ctrl+v & ctrl+c

I was so happy finding out that we at ABNH had a collaboration with Reverse Confetti this month. I just looooove geeky stuff and I've been looking at this stamp set with a perfect saying. I wonder just how many times a day I use ctrl+c &ctrl+v? More than once, that's for sure. Geeky and romantic, perfect! I used a brush stroke heart with the sentiment and embossed it on watercolor paper and colored it with distress inks. I just love embossing resist techniques.

I made a pink and a bluish one. I like them both! They are a it smaller than regular cards to make the sentiment the focus of the card.

Thanks to the great people at Reverse Confetti, I had so much fun with their stamps and dies :)

There is still some time to join the latest challenge and it's one of my favourite themes: ombre! My cards was supposed to be ombre but I got a bit carried away while inking them ;)

There is a great price from our friends at Simon Says Stamp.
