Congrats gorgeous

I kept playing with my Winnie & Walter stamps and I made these two cards. My friend Tesa was making distress squares (maby they are called something else in english?) and I got inspired to try. I got this idea in my head of a distress background with a piece of vellum on top. I must say it looked better in my head but I love the pretty colors. At this time I realised that my hubies birthday was coming up and I wanted to do a more masculine card for him.

I made this with greens and blues and black. I embossed it twice to make a shadow effect, I tried to catch that on the picture but it’s just to shiny. I used some titanium sprakle for the shadow and then silver on top and it looks really cool up close. This card was eaten by our dog like five minutes after hubbie got it... I guess Hugo wanted to sign the card too ;)

Here they are side by side. Love the big font, this set is so great! I have been eying it for a while and will probably use it until you all are fed up with it.

I’m going to schedule a bunch of posts now, I’ve been very lazy blogging lately. But now I’m going to see if I can blog everything I’ve made up til now since I’m getting a new computer and don’t know if we will be friends or not since I’m switching from PC to Mac. Better safe than sorry :)

Morning glory

IMG_9332

I was supposed to post another card today for my DESIGN in PAPERS post, with a new coloring video. Well, let’s just say I’ve been trying to get that stupid video up on youtube for over two days and it will not work. I’m not a happy camper right now. But, luckely, I had another card done for next week. And it’s the same stamp. Morning Glory from Stampendous. I colored them pink, I did that on the other card too. I had a nagging feeling they might be blue but ignored it. Then this morning a friend posted an image of real Morning Glory on instagram. They were blue. Well, I don’t care. I like pink flowers ;)

Anyways, I really must get back to writing my reports for school. Really quick post today. Keep your fingers cossed I have gotten my video on youtube for next weeks post. Otherwise I might have gone a bit crazy by then and will probably be computerless. And then there will be no posts at all. I’ll place a sacrifice of some kind for the gods of youtube. I wonder if they like Brie cheeze, I have lots of that...

ATC-cards

This month for En liten butik we have a ATC-theme in the blog. I know a series should be 6 or 8 cards but I ony had enough of my thick water color paper for four so that’s what I made. I used color as a starting point and made some blended very bright colorful backgrounds. Then I sprinkled some embossingpowder on top and printed some texts with my dymo. I decorated all of my cards with vellum and enamel dots.

IMG_8976

The pink card says “And greatest of all is love”.

IMG_8977

The green one says “The grass is greenest in the summer” (I know, it’s obvious but that’s what came to mind).

IMG_8978

The yellow/orange one says “Even the sun got some spots”.

IMG_8979

The blue one says “Twinkle twinkle little star”.

I had fun making these and they are very pretty together. All that color is very bright and makes me happy :) Thanks for stopping by!

Supreme Scrap Tournament, round 1

IMG_8806

I signed up for the Supreme Scrap Tournament and our first challenge in the Card Diva challenge we were to make a ATC. I never made one before but it was fun to try. It is a tiny surface, only 2,5x3,5 inches. The card was supposed to be about home but you could not use any images of a house on it. Also no spray paints are allowed. I made my background by dipping my card in ink from distress pads on my craft sheet. No spraying or dripping. I stamped a sentiment on vellum and decorated with wood veneer hearts, sequins and some metallic thread. I keep my fingers crossed I go on to the next round, the voting begin next week I think.

Let’s find a beautiful place and get lost

IMG_8412

Toay I tried to stamp with the Martha Stewart Craft Paint i got from Hobbyworld, I used Sterling and Gold and stamped some feathers. Since the paint works as a resist after drying you can make a cool background after stamping. I am impatient so I used the heat gun to speed up the drying.

IMG_8416

Can you see the shimmering metallics, these paints are great! I used enamel dots and bling to embellish the card a bit more.

Material/Supplies:

  • Bazzil Basics Cardstock – White

  • Martha Stewart Craft Paints Metallic – Gold, Sterling

  • Studio Calico Enamel Dots

  • Basic Grey Candy Buttons

  • Prima Marketing Say it in Crystals #551513

  • Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares - White, Variety Pack

  • Scrapbook Adhesives MyStik™ Permanent Strips Dispenser

Be strong, brave and creative

IMG_8393

This is my creation for En liten butik this week. I got all sorts of cool product in my kit and felt like playing. I love the stamp called Pointing Midge, she looks like she is saying something important. So it started out as some kind of art journaling and ended up being a card.

IMG_8400

I’m happy with how it turned out, it’s kind of odd :) I need to tell you about the stamp too. I got published in the latest issue of Inzpira Magazine (one day I’ll show you all my publicated projects, I just haven’t gotten to it yet) and on my projects I used Hero Arts stamps. Did you know that Hero Arts has a great publications incentive program? I got to pick products for $75 for my three projects, can you believe that??? I was so happy! Here is a shot of my products, and the little you’re awesome-stamp was in one of the sets. Isn’t it just perfect?!

HA

Now I’ll get back to playing with all the great Hero Arts stuff. Thanks for stopping by!
