Listen, smile, agree...

I was sorting through some stuff on my desk and found a background I made last summer. It was kind of nice so I didn’t want to throw it out but not good enough for me to really feel inspired to use it. Yes, I’m kind of a squirrel. Don’t want to throw away anything that could come in handy. Anyways I started to put some more ink on it to make it better and it turned out really loud and very colorful and busy. so then I added a layer of gesso on top getting a dreamy kind of whitewash. By then I didnät think I actually would use it so I grabbed some gold paint and played around. Then I also added some glitter paint on top and even though it was far from my comfort zone I decided to use it.

I found this quote, I think by Robert Downey Jr., and just went with it. I will need some new alphas soon since they are running out of letters. I actually found a printed picture of me smiling (miracles can happen) and used that.

In the end the LO turned out kind of cool. And when I looked at the time on my phone it was almost 2 in the morning. On a school night. The time moves fast when you are having fun, right?

How to move an elephant

This is the fist thing I made in Karlstad this time. It was a sketch and I’m really not etirely sure I love it. There are the new cool Glitz papers from the Finley series. And there is some diecuts made with the Cameo, embossed in gold. And there is a tiny elephant. Also there are some gold-glittery-letters that are super cool.

I don’t know. It’s fun and it’s playful but still... Love the pictures though and I’m happy I finally got them scrapped. That is good. I think the LO is ok but I will go back and add some gold mist here and there and maby then i’l love it?  Anyways, that’s it from my trip to Karlstad. Until next time :)

Home Sweet Home

I made a LO for En Liten Butik today, trying to use a stencil as a background. I love this 12x12 stencil from TCW, I really want to use it again but are not sure on what?

The papers are from Glitz Sunshine in your Soul, really autumn like colors I think. I used Distress Paint and watercolor for the background. I’m not sure why the pictures turned out so crappy but I really have no time to take new ones since I’m on my way to visit my parents when you are reading this. I had a lot of preparing to do befor going. I spent a whole day scrapping and then one more editing pictures and blogging. But at least I had fun! and you’ll get some new projects to see while I’m away.
