Happy for you

IMG_9500

Today is my day at DESIGN in PAPERS blog, and I made this card using Lawn Fawn stamps and Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils. I love how vibrant they turn out even on colored cardstock. I have totally fallen in love with these leaves from Blissful Botanical. I love those stripes on some of the leaves, it's very graphical but still organic if it makes any sense?

I used a part of the sentiment from Let's Roll for the card. I think the card turned out very pretty and pleasing to the eye with the white gel pen as a contrast.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm going to spend some time in the craft room this week I think, I hope to make something that I can share. Also I'm going to blog the creations I made for Inzpira Magazine last month. I hope you'll be back for that :)

You make me happy when skies are gray

IMG_9496

I got this idea of making a shaker with different material in different parts. I could not stop thinking about it and had to go through my stash to find some material that would make a great double shaker card. I came up with this umbrella from Pink Paislee. I was thinking that the skies was gray but under the umbrella it would be sunny.

IMG_9498

Just look at that shaker! I just love it! I had to toss my first try but this turned out just like the image in my head. I'm just so happy! Silly huh? but I get these ideas thet just needs to be done, I was thinking about this for a few days before making it. And sometimes but not very often they turn out just like I thought they would or even better and then I'm totally happy for a long time :) I love coming up with new ideas! Must be the technical part of the brain that wants to have fun too.

Anyways, be back tomorrow with a card for DESIGN in PAPERS. I hope you'll be back again then :) Thanks for stopping by, YOU make me happy when skies are gray!

Hey foxy lady!

Anyone remember that old song by Jimi Hendrix? I saw that cute fox in the Lawn Fawn stamp set Joy to the woods and got it in my head. Also I needed some relaxing colouring therapy and just had to make a foxy background with the foxy lady. I went a bit nuts with this card and sat up until 2.40 in the night to get all the little foxes coloured. This is my post for ABNH this month.

IMG_9482

See that foxy lady down in the left corner? She is popped up on 3D-adhesives, got a fancy gold collar and is just a bit foxier than the rest. The Stepping Stone alpha from Hero arts came in handy once again, love that font!

As you might have noticed we have been collaborating with Lawn Fawn this month.

And the current challenge is on the theme recycling. I could say I recycled the gold thread on this card, I found it laying beside the sewing machine. I'm not sure if that counts but that's as close as I got ;)

The amazing Simon Says Stamp is giving away a shopping spree to one lucky winner.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you will be joining me in singing Foxy Lady over and over in your head now, it doesn't seem to want to go away now.

WOW and 3L

IMG_9485 (1)

This week we are having a collaboration with 3L over at WOW Embossingpowders. 3L makes some great adhesive products under the name Scrapbook Adheseves. I just love their 3D-squares, they are the best! I use a lot of their products actually but I got some new to try out in the package they generously sent me. So, to see the whole card I made and some other amazing creations by the team hop on over to the WOW! blog.

Jolly Holly Days

IMG_9477

Today I made a christmas card for DESIGN in PAPERS using some Lawn Fawn and IdigoBlu stamps. I think it turned out really pretty, the colors gives me a christmas tree feel. I embossed the ornaments and then colored my background with Distress ink, stamped some little branches with needles on and some snow flakes and added a bit of gold mist. Tadaaaa!

Is it really time to make christmas cards already??? I just realized it's really fall outside, time just passes too fast for my taste.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will have a great day <3

Art journaling

I wanted to keep an art journal to mess around in and try out different things. It was a long time since I drew something by hand and I had some watercolor crayons that I haven't really used. I also used some gelatos and big brush pens, stamps and other things I had within close reach. It turned out kind of ok and I had a lot of fun while making it. I made this about a month ago and forgot about it ;)IMG_9445

So, I hope I'll be inspired to make some more pages. It's typically me to start a new journal/Smash album/ calendar or whatever and then just do a couple of pages and forget all about it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Loving Lawn Fawn

I've been excited to get my hands on some Lawn Fawn stamps lately. I just love their cute little critters, they are so much fun to color. I'll post another card on wednesday illustrating me getting a bit crazy with the coloring but that's then and for now I'll just show you these two cards. IMG_9478

This first one I made using the Let's roll set. I love sushi, there is probably no food as addictive as sushi once you get over the initial two tasts. I prefer mine without wasabi though but with lots of Soy. So this sentiment was just perfect :) I colored this using my Copics, I have not been practicing as much as I intended, I got swamped with other stuff. But yesterday I just relaxed and enjoyed some pretty easy coloring and this is the result.

For my other card I used the Blissful Botanical set. I white embossed the long border stamp a few times and then colored it using distress markers. I wasn't sure what to do next, I loved the result and the sentiments in the set was a bit to small for my card but then I found this hello die on my table and just went with it. Love the background, wish I had given the sentiment a bit more thought. Actually I wish I had one of the Lawn fawn Alphas, mine was either too big or too small for this card. I'll probably get one of the skinny ones on my next shopping spree ;)

I'll be entering the search for a Facebook inspiration team at Lawnscaping with these cards. Keeping my fingers crossed!

That's it for me today. Wednesday I think there will be three posts in my blog and I might squeeze in one for tomorrow so do stop by again for more inspiration :) Thanks for visiting!

Blissful Botanical Birthday

IMG_9470

I've been to a great crop with the DT for DESIGN in PAPERS this weekend. As usual we had a lot of fun and even did some crafting, imagine that ;) I made this card using Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanical stamps and matching dies. I colored the images using Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils from Crafters Companion. I've said it before, those pens are fun! I showed them to a 9 year old boy when I was there and he loved them. His mom got them for him, the look on his face when she told him he could get a set. Priceless! He was going to color dragons, such a cool kid!

IMG_9472

Anyways, I had a great weekend and was as tierd as one is supposed to be after having so much fun :) I haven't gotten to unpacking yet but as soon as I've got some new energy I'll be unpacking some new stuff I got. Oh, I also tried Project Life, I got one of the mini kits and I hope it will be a regular thing doing a page for each week instead of a spread since I don't take enough pictures for a spread... It was fun and a bit frustrating, I think I'll get a hang of it and it will be a lot quicker. I might even use up some of my old stash too. At least I hope I will. Got a lot of old decos that I hoard... ehrm... COLLECT, I mean COLLECT. Of course.

Well, that's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by!

One stamp, two cards

It's my turn to inspire at the WOW! Embossingpowders blog today and the theme is One stamp - two ways. I actually used my stamp in kind of the same way on both cards but the cards are different. One is more romantic and the other has a lot of contrast and sparkle.

Sneak

I'll show you this sneaky peaky and for the rest of the card you need to go to the WOW! blog and check them out there.

Have a lovely weekend!
