Crafty Bands

I was asked if my kids could help trying out the new Crafty Bands for Hobbyworld. Of course they did! We have been home from school and day care for two straight weeks because of illness and they are really getting restless. They were really happy to be asked to help out trying to make some bracelets. Here are some pictures from our bracelet workshop.

I got the starter kit and there was enough supplies to make 4 bracelets. It was enough to keep the kids busy for a long time. I just put out some scrap paper and magazines and everything else needed was in the kit. When you are done making your four bracelets you can buy more supplies. The punch you can use as a regular Epiphany Crafts punch also. So, what did the kids think? They LOVED it!!! They asked me if I couldn’t go back to Södertälje to get some more stuff to make more bracelets.

Crafty Bands

Visiting Hobbyworld

Last weekend I went to Södertälje to meet up with some of the other girls from Hobbyworlds DT, Helena who is our coordinator and of course Richard and Mikael who are the owners. We had a great weekend meating some of our awesome retailers, Eva and Marinette from Inzpira Magazine and last but not least Peter from Sizzix who had a couple of super inspirational workshops. We all got a chance to look around at the warehouse and see all the great products. Here are some pictures from the weekend, all taken with my iPhone so the quality is not the best.

Our very nice hotel room, but it was a bit to warm in the night to sleep very well.

In the evening we all went out for Libanese food. I never had it before and I absolutely LOVED it! I ate way too much, there was 16 small courses and all of them was so good!

We had a lot of laughs, it was a really nice dinner. Here are Helena and Malin, I love those girls! We have so much fun toghether!

Me and Tesa having a fit before sleeping ;) I laughed until I cried! Tesa is the best :)

On saturday me and Malin had a demo for our retailers showing all the great stuff the Cameo can do. I didn’t have a chance to see Petes workshop that day but here are what we did on sunday. I made this card, it was a challenge but when I got in to it it was so much fun and Pete is a really great guy. I was really inspired just by talking to him. Got a lot of ideas popping up in my head. It all looks so easy when he shows it...

Me and Pete. I had to have a picture toghether with him. :)

Here Pete is talking about the different die cutting machines and the difference between them. I got my eye on the big blue one. Oh, I wish it could end up in my scrap room! <3 I know everyone loved the new Teal BigShot but Im totally happy with my black and pink one. I did like the new longer platforms for the new one though.

I also got to meet these fun girls! Marinette and Eva from Inzpira Magazine. They were talking about how Inzpira Magazine came to be and where it’s heading. Very interesting! I’m telling you, these ladies knows what they are doing! We were all loving the new number of Inzpira, Pete said it was one of the best scrapbooking magazines in Europe. I also have to brag about my card being published in the latest number, yey! Anyways, it was great meeting Marinette and Eva for real, they are both really nice!

Unfortionetley the weekend had to end. Me and Tesa waited toghether for our trains. I was soooo tierd. So much fun and not enough sleep ;) Tesa looks as good as she always do, I probably looked a bit worse ;)

I didn’t get any pictures of all of us toghether. But check out this post in the Inzpira blog and see all of us toghether :)

Boy Crazy

IMG_7909

I got a lot of cool paper and embellishments from My Minds Eyes Boy Crazy Collection from Hobbyworld and wanted to use it for something fun. I found this great picture of my son building rocket ships with Lego. I really think he is amazing when it comes to engineering, he thinks of everything like how they cook, go to the bathroom and who cleans up on the ship.

IMG_7916

I’ve been using stickers, felt embellishments, chipboard, brads and enamel dots. Everything is a bit random on this page.

IMG_7917

I attached some brads on the windows of the rocket to make it even more fun. I also made beams from the engine with my sewing machine.

Today I’m at Hobbyworld HQ in Södertälje with parts of the DT and some of our great retailers. I hope we can inspire them. We will also meet Peter Hughes from Sizzix and I’m really excited! I hope I’ll have some time to learn from him.

I also want to remid you that today is the last day to send us your creations for the april challenge. It is a sketch that I made and you can find all the info here. We really want to se your creations!

Project life

Fist I wanted to tell you I’m thinking of moving my blog to typepad, I’m trying it out right now. If you see this in my blogger-blog please pop over to http://mayasblog.typepad.com and give me some feedback on wich you like the most. If you see it in typepad you can visit my blogger-blog at http://smautbrott.blogspot.com . I think I will move since I really like the platform and all the tools and great layouts. But I wouldn’t want to lose any of my regular visitors, you make my day! Just looking in at the stats and seeing how many of you who pops by regularly from all over the world makes my heart happy! So please help me decide! I’ll be double posting for a while.

IMG_7905

I wanted to give Project Life a try. I know I wont be making a spread every week, I don’t take enough pictures and don’t have the dicipline to make something each week (and I realised it was much more tie consuming than I anticipated) but maby once a month or for special days like Christmas. So I started out with my brothers great pictures from this Christmas and Simple Stories 24/7-collection kit.

IMG_7907

I really like how my first spread turned out but as I said. It took a lot of time! I like to be able to scrap a lot of pictures at once. I was a bit supriced at how much supplies that I used for one spread, but I like to embellish ;)

IMG_7906

I know I’ll love looking at this page in the future and I added some more journaling behind the cards. I like how it sort of captures all the parts of our christmas all at once and then you can see some more details if you look closer. So I’ll definetly do some more PL-inspired scrapbooking but it won’t be that often I think. I’ll put the pages in my regular albums. I just put them in the order I make them. I probably should sort them later but at the moment I only have two full albums (need to get a new one), I dont do that many LOs. How do you sort your LOs?
