I’ve been scrapping for Hobbyworld again. I’ve used some sunny papers from My Minds Eye to make a layout with a picture of my dogs. They always find a sun spot to lay in if there is oneanywhere in the house. The yellow background pattern from the On the Sunny Side line was perfect to catch that warm feeling. I cut some sun rays from vellum to make it even sunnier.

I’ve used the die cuts and chipboard embellishments that comes with the line. The little banners I made into arrows. I wrote the journaling on my old typewriter. The letter stickers from Basic Grays Konnichiwa line was a perfect match in color so I used them for the title.

Formex

Last week I had the great pleasure to go to Formex with Hobbyworld. I had the best time! I’ve always wanted to go and it was so great to finally have the chance to be there. I got to meet the Hobbyworld crew and DT, it was just great. So, what did I do? Well, it’s hard work but someone has to do it. I got to sit and scrap for two days using all the fun new products and tools. Also I had great company the whole time, so much fun. Here is a picture of our monter.

I also got a chance to look around and see all the new products the companys was showing in their monters, great inspiration! I wish I could have taken a lot of pictures but you had to ask before taking pictures so I just walked around looking instead. And tasting, you know they have a whole section with pralines and other sweet stuff. Yum! There I spotted these lovely lemonade bottles (yes I asked before taking pictures).

The first morning at the hotel was a bit exciting when the fire alarm in the hotel went off. We climbed down 7 stairs to exit and waited for the fire engines. The fire fighters just went inside and came right back out. False alarm, fortunatley.

While walking to the hotel on friday we saw nine or ten beautiful limousines waiting outside another hotel. I can’t decide if I like the pink one or the hummer better.

On friday we all gathered for a nice dinner toghether. I really enjoyed myself and we even went for drinks after dinner. It was great getting away from home for a couple of days doing what I love, it’s so much fun spending time with scrappers. It was a great experience and I was so well taken care of all the time, it couldn’t have been better.

Right now I’m reloading. Next wekend we have kick-off at work and I’ll be away from my familly again. I really miss my kids and husband when I’m away, I’m kind of sad the summer vacation is over and we all spend the days apart. I’ve gotten used to having them all around all the time.

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you about Formex. I’m going to blog some of what I made there as soon as I get some time to spare.

A boy!

I’ll try to remember to take lots of photos. I’m also looking forward to meet my collegues from Hobbyworld, I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun. I’ll go to Stockholm wednesday after work and will be back saturday. Fun!

Vem kommer?

Idag är det teknikutmaning på SWE Scrapbook och jag har gjort en LO med en fråga som titel. Jag har scrappat älskade Castor som alltid har stenkoll på vem som kommer och går. Här står han och spanar efter husse tror jag.

Jag såg en LO på Studio Calicos blogg tror jag där de använt den bubbliga bakgrunden utskuren med Cameon och det var så galet snyggt. Jag ville göra en liknande men min blev lite rörig. Jag öser på så mycket och slutar aldrig i tid så jag tycker att min LO blev lite gryllig. Men titeln passade bra och det var roligt att jobba lite med kraft-papper, jag älskar färgen men tycker ofta att mina resultat blir lite mörka när jag använder det. Jag får se om jag kanske gör en till LO med samma bakgrund men håller den lite cleanare, jag tyckte ändå att resultatet blev rätt färgglatt och roligt så helt missnöjd är jag inte, det blev bara inte riktigt som det såg ut i mitt huvud (när blir det egentligen det förresten???).

Grattiskort

Min pappa har fyllt år denna vecka. Jag tycker att Basic Greys serie Clippings passar jättebra till ett herrkort, färgerna är rätt maskulina. Jag höll det enkelt med remsor av mönsterpapper och ett naturfärgat snöre. Men fyller man år så måste det ju få bli lite festligt så jag dekorerade med Tinsel Glitter från Martha Stewart. Jag satte helt enkelt en remsa dubbelhäftande tejp tvärs över kortet och strösslade på glitter på det. Det blev väldigt snyggt! Jag fäste kortet med 3D-kuddar på kortbasen för lite extra effekt.

This week my dad had his birthday. I made a card with paper from Basic Grey’s Clippings collection. The colors are perfect for male cards, the colors are kind of masculine. I kept it simple with strips of patterned paper and some twine. But when you make a card for someones bithday it has to have some flair, I added some of Martha Stewarts Tinsel Glitter to make the card pop. I adhered a strip of double sided tape and sprinkeled it with the glitter. I really like the result! I also popped up the card front with 3D-adhesive fore some extra effect.

First I wanted to make a change to my blog. I see from the statistics that I have almost as many visitors from other countrys as I have from Sweden. I’m really happy that you all like to visit me here. I was thinking that google translate kind of suck and my english is kind of ok so why can’t I write in english? Well, I decided I can so here you go! So, back to buisness. I’ve been thinking of making a video for a while now. I love seeing cards and LOs from start to end and spend too much time youtubing. I love Two Peas in a Buckets videos, I never miss one. So here is my very first video. I hope you like it! Please leave me a comment if you do. I was thinking I could make more, but only if you like it. It took a lot more time than just making a blog post ;)

Idag är det onsdag och på onsdag är det kortutmaning på SWE Scrapbook. Jag har tolkat Lillblommans inspirerande skiss och gjort ett litet kort med kärlekstema.

Jag hittade igen den lilla fågelstämpeln när jag jag organiserade om i scraprummet och den är så söt! Jag ska hålla hårt i den lille rackaren nu så att den inte flyger bort igen.

Nu tycker jag att du ska kika på SWE Scrapbook och se vad de andra tjejerna har hittat på. Ha det så gott så länge!
