Guest at Winnie & Walter, day 1

I am so very happy to be a guest over at Winnie & Walter for their new release. I will show you what I made these next four days. I've had so much fun with all the pretty stamps and dies, this is such a great release!

What got me hooked on the Winnie & Walter stamps in the beginning was the big scripty font on the sentiment stamps. I think the big bold and... stamps are so perfect! You could really just stamp one of the words on a piece of cardstock and be done. But where is the fun in that? In the new release there are two new big and bold sets. The big, the bold and Friends and The big, the bold and Comfort.

For my first card I used two of the stamps from The big, the bold and friends to stamp Sending hugs over and over again and then I embossed the text with pearlescent embossing powder. I then airbrushed the whole thing creating a really pretty background. I cut out a flower from some patterned paper and punched out a circle out of vellum and decorated with gold thread and gemstones.

I also made a sympathy card with The big, the bold and Comfort and a flower stamp from the new Addie's Garden set. I embossed the stamps using silver pearl embossing powder and added watercolour around the sentiment to make it pop. Then I just used a bone folder and a scoring board to emboss and deboss a frame around the images. I think when it comes to sympathy cards it's always a good idea to keep it simple.

That's it for today. Be sure to pop on over to the Winnie & Walter blog to see the inspiration from the team and my fellow guest Maria.
