Dragonfly card

DipCraftersCompanionW

I made this dragonfly card for this weeks post at Design in Papers. It was a very fun card to make! I masked the dragonfly using rubber cement to make the background using SpectrumAqua and Aqua Tints.

The dragonfly I colored with Aqua Tints, I mixed in the silver to make it shimmer like the real ones does. When I was done I covered the whole thing with Glossy Accent to make it dimensional and it looks almost real! This card did not need any decorations, I just picked a sentiment that fit the space and theme. it happened to be a Lawn Fawn stamp.

So much fun and very pretty! Dragonflies are so summery, we had lots of them in the old cottage we used to spend the summers in. They sort of ticks when flying and when we rode our bikes they sttod still in the air over the road and you had to avoid running into them. I wish it would be more like summer now. The rain is absolutely pouring down and there is no real warmth in the air.

I hope you liked the card, I'll be back soon. Until then, lets hope for summer ;)
