Homework and some more homework

I have some cards to show as a part of the “homework” for the Watercolor for cardmakers class. I had a lot of fun playing with the techniques even though I don’t think I’ll master all of them. Some of them was hard! Also I don’t have good stamps for some of them but I’ll just keep trying with the ones I enjoy and manage to do and it’s really fun and I have gotten a lot of inspiration.

So, are you ready fo my homework? Seven cards in todays post, I was thinking I could divide this post into a few posts but I got lazy and will just post them all at once instead.

This one i stamped with mists, I didn’t get the watercolor effect but it looks pretty anyways :)

I made a background using watercolors and did the iron off technique on the embossing resist. Very fun! Need more background stamps!

I made a background by stamping with a acrylic block using watercolors. The effect is really nice and it was easy to achieve.

I used my inktense pencils to make a gradient background (also I used the cut outs from abother card as a sentiment) and splattered lots of mists and inks on it to make it more interesting.

I used my gelatos to stamp this cad. I was not very impressed with this technique, mostly since I got so few colors of gelatos and the turqoise one is really really pale. But the card turned out pretty after a few tries.

Another background made with inktense pencils. Here I used distress ink and water to make a stamped watercolor effect. I had trouble finding a good stamp for this technique in my stash. But these feathers turned out very pretty!

Watercolor and putting a stencil on top. I cut out most of my stencils with the Cameo so I was limited to a few stencils I own. I like the effect but not the result. I just remembered some old stencils that I forgot about, might have to revisit this one.

I’ll probably be back with more cards next week. I love the inspiration I get from these classes. I look forward to the rest of the class. Thanks for stopping by!
